Former Common nameHB-EGF lox Knock-in mice(BL6) (HBlox#80/B6)
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineTT2 [(C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1]
Background strainC57BL/6J
Appearanceblack [a/a B/B C/C]
Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Eisuke Mekada, Osaka University in 2003.
Strain descriptionB6.Cg-Hbegf<tm1Mek>. Hbegf, heparin-binding EGF like growth factor is a member of the EGF family of growth factor. Hbegf binds to and activates EGF receptor. The targeting vector containing WT HB-EGF cDNA flanked by loxP sites linked to lacZ reporter gene was transfered into TT2 ES cells.
Colony maintenanceBackcross to C57BL/6 (Heterozygote x C57BL/6JJmsSlc)
