Former Common namemDom-KO, mDomino knockout mouse
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell line
Background strain
Appearanceblack [a/a B/B C/C]
Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Rikiro Fukunaga at Osaka University in 2003. Part of exon 2 and inron 2 was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6.
Strain descriptionB6.129-Ep400<tm1Fuku>. p400/mDomino (mammalian Domino) gene is an Swr1-class DNA-dependent ATPase that is a core subunit of a large chromatin-remodeling complex, and is currently suggested to play a unique function in histone variant exchange. The mDomino deficient mice are embryonic lethal and show anemic in appearance and slight deformity of the neural tubes.
Colony maintenanceBackcross to C57BL/6 Backcross to C57BL/6 (Heterozygote x C57BL/6N)
