SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.Cg-Tg(CAG-floxed Neo-EGFP)REP08Osb
Former Common nameREP-08
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell line
Background strainC57BL/6
Appearanceblack [a/a B/B C/C]
Strain developmentDeveloped by Masato Ikawa, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Osaka University in 2004. The transgene was injected into the D3 ES cells. The mutant mice were crossed to C57BL/6NCrSlc.
Strain descriptionCAG-GFP conditional transgenic mice (REP08 mice). The transgene consists of the CAG promoter and the EGFP cDNA separated by a floxed neo cassette. When the floxed neo cassette is excised by crossing with Cre mice, EGFP is expressed. The transgene was injected into D3 ES cells to generate mice having a single copy of the transgene. The level of GFP fluorescence is relatively low (Developer, personal communication).
Colony maintenanceCarrier x Carrier [C57BL/6NCrSlc]
