ES Cell line | TT2 [(C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1] |
Background strain | C57BL/6NCrSlc |
Appearance | black [a/a B/B C/C] |
Strain development | Developed by Drs. Sudo and Fujisawa, Nagoya University in 2001. Mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6Cr for 14 times. |
Strain description | B6.Cg-Plxna4<tm1Hfu>. Plexin-A4 serves as a direct receptor for two class 6 transmembrane semaphorins, Sema6A and Sema6B, both of which act as repellents for sympathetic ganglion (SG) axons. Plexin-A4 homozygous mutant mice show defective in the trajectory and projection of peripheral sensory axons and GS axons and the formation of the anterior commissure and the barrels. |
Colony maintenance | Backcross to C57BL/6 (Heterozygote x C57BL/6CrSlc) |
