Strain development | Developed by Tohru Kataoka, Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine in 2007. E14TG2a ES cells were used to generate the mutant mice. RA-GEF-2 (Rapgef6) knockout allele was generated by crossing with Rapgef6 floxed and Tg(ACTB-cre)13Miya mice. C57BL/6 semicongenic. |
Strain description | RA-GEF-1 (Rapgef2) floxed and RA-GEF-2 (Rapgef6) knockout double mutant mice. Exon 15 of the RA-GEF-1 (Rapgef2) gene was flanked by loxP sites (Homozygous mice are viable and fertile). Exon 21 of the RA-GEF-2 (Rapgef6) gene was removed (homozygous knockout mice are viable and fertile, but exhibit an inlarged spleen, increased IgE and IgG levels and altered cytokine production). |
