Background strain | |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Sachiko Hirose, Department of Internal Medicine, Juntendo University School of Medicine in 2006. A neomycin selection cassette was transferred into BL/6-III ES cells to delete and replace exon 2 of Fcer1g gene. The mutant mice were backcrossed BXSB strain over 20 generations. |
Strain description | IgG Fc receptor common gamma knockout mice. BXSB background. Exon 2 of Fcer1g gene was deleted and replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Autoimmune disease features of male were suppressed in homozygous mutant mice. |
Colony maintenance | Homozygote x Homozygote [or Crossing to BXSB/MpJJmsSlc (female)] |
