TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6;129-Htr5b<tm1(tTA)Rhn>
Former Common nameHtr5B-tTA KI, B6-Htr5b/tTA KI
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineCSL3[129S6/SvEvTac]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Kenji Tanaka, Columbia University in 2007. CSL3 ES cells derived from 129S6/SvEvTac were used. The mutant mice were crossed to C57BL/6J over 6 times.
Strain descriptionHtr5B-tTA knock-in mice. The tetracycline-controlled transactivator (tTA) gene was inserted into the Htr5b gene. tTA expression is detected in medial habenular and inferior olivary nuclei, and hippocampus CA1 region.
Colony maintenanceHeterozygote x Wild-type [C57BL/6JJcl]
