Strain development | Developed by Kenji Tanaka, Columbia University in 2007. CSL3 ES cells derived from 129S6/SvEvTac were used. FRT-flanked neo selection cassette was removed by crossing with ROSA-Flpe mice. The mutant mice were backcrossed to 129S6 over 5 times. C57BL/6 and 129 mixed background. |
Strain description | Nlgn3-tetO knock-in mice. tetO was inserted just upstream of the Nlgn3 gene. Expression pattern of the mutant allele is the same as that seen in wild-type mice. By the combination with tTA and tTS, tTA-mediated overexpression and tTS-mediated knockout can be generated respectively in the absence of doxycycline and restore when restore when the antibiotic is administered to the animal. |
