Genotype a/a B/B C/C
Strain development Developed by Dr. Masato Ikawa at Osaka University in 1997.
Strain description This transgenic mouse expresses the cre-recombinase under the control of the protamine 1 gene promoter. This strain can be used to make an inducible knock-out by crossing with the other genetically-engineered mice that have floxed genes.
Colony maintenance Backcross to C57BL/6 (Hemizygote x C57BL6/CrSlc)
