Strain development Developed by Dr. Masaru Okabe at Osaka University in 1997. The CAG-GFP plasmids were injected into the pronuclei of B6C3F2 fertilized eggs.  
Strain description Both homozygous and hemizygous transgenic mice express GFP in all over the body. The transgene is located in X chromosome. This strain is useful for detection of cell fate in transplantation and developmental studies.
