Appearancealbino [c/c]
Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Hiroki Kokubo, National Institute of Genetics, Japan in 2004. This strain was maintained under ICR background.
Strain descriptionICR.Cg-Tg(CAG-CAT-Notch2)1Ysa. Notch1, Notch gene homolog 2 (Drosophila) is important in establishing metameric pattern during somitogenesis. This transgenic mouse expresses the active Notch2 gene after excision of the floxed-CAT gene by Cre-mediated recombination. This strain are useful for elucidation of the Notch-signaling mechanism underlying initial segmentation in the presomitic mesoderm.
Colony maintenanceHomozygote x Hemizygote or Crossing to ICR (Jcl:MCH)
