SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.129-Dpt<tm1Hsh>/NakaRbrc
Former Common nameDermatopontin KO mice
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineR1 [(129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl<+>]
Background strainC57BL/6JJcl
Appearanceblack [a/a B/B C/C]
Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Hroshi Shinkai, Chiba University at 2002. A pgk-neo was transfered into ES cells to relpace exon 1 of Dpt gene.
Strain descriptionDermatopontin (Dpt) is a collagen-associated protein, is widely distributed in extracellular matrix. Homozygote mutant mice not exhibit any obvious anatomical abnormality, but the skin elasticity was increased. This strain is useful for study of the mechanism and the process of collagen fibrillogenesis.
Colony maintenanceBackcross to C57BL/6 (Heterozygote x C57BL/6JJcl)Homozygote mutant mice are fertile.
