Strain descriptionTransgenic mice for visualizing Wnt signal pathway. Wnt proteins belong to a family of secreted and lipid-modified glycoprotein that can activate intracellular signaling pathways, such as the Wnt/planar cell polarity, the Wnt/calcium and the Wnt beta-catenin or so-called Wnt canonical signaling pathways. The TOP-GAL transgenic mice are a reporter line which can visualize the Wnt canonical pathway by beta-galactosidase activity. The transgenic mice were generated with ins-TOPGAL that accurately drive beta-galactosidase under TCF/beta-catenin. These transgenic mice will provide you unique opportunity to investigate the function of Wnt canonical pathway in vivo.
Colony maintenanceCarrier x Noncarrier [or Crossing to Jcl:MCH(ICR)]. Tg mice are viable and fertile.
