Strain development Developed by Yusaku Nakabeppu, Medical Institute of Bioregulation, Kyushu University. CCE28 ES cells derived from 129/Sv were used to generate the knockout mice. The mice were crossed to C57BL/6.  
Strain description MYH (Mutyh) gene knockout mice. Exons 8 to 15 were replaced with a pol II neo cassette. Homozygous mutant mice show decreased susceptibility to neuronal excitotoxicity.
