Strain development | Developed by Dr. Masayuki Yamamoto, Center for Tsukuba Advanced Research Alliance, University of Tsukuba in 2008. Trsp<tm2.1Mym> allele was produced by the crossing Trsp floxed (Trsp<tm2Mym>) (RBRC02681) and AyuI-Cre mice. |
Strain description | Trsp knockout mice. Trsp gene codes Selenocysteine-tRNA which is essential for the synthesis of selenium containing protein. Inactivation of this gene induces disruption of the synthesis of selenium containing protein. Homozyous mutant mice are embryonic lethal. |
