Strain development | Developed by Kuniya Abe, RIKEN BioResrouce Center in 2007. The transgene was injected into the pronuclei of B6D2F1 fertilized eggs. The mutant mice were crossed to C57BL/6 (semicongenic). |
Strain description | Oct-4(Pou5f1)/KikumeGR transgenic mice carrying KikumeGR cDNA under the control of the 18kb Oct-4 genomic fragment (Genomic Oct-4 Fragment of 18) by deletion in the proximal enhancer (PE). The Oct-4 gene expresses in primordial germ cells and undifferentiated spermatogonia in new born mice. |
Colony maintenance | Carrier x Noncarrier [C57BL/6JJcl] |
