Strain description | SirT1 knockout mice. A hygromycin resistance cassette was inserted to replace exons 5 and 6 of Sirt1 gene. Homozygous mutant mice die at birth. When outbred to CD1, SirT1 KO mice have short snouts, eyelid defect and are smaller than littermates at weaning. |
