TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.129S7-Sox9<tm1(cre)Crm>
Former Common nameSox9-Cre KI, Sox9-Cre knock-in, B6-Sox9 KI/Cre
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineAB1 [129S7/SvEvBrd-Hprt<+>]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Haruhiko Akiyama, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. The knock-in vector was electroporated into AB1 ES cells. The mutant mice were crossed to C57BL/6.
Strain descriptionSox9-Cre knock-in mice. These mice have a cre recombinase gene at the Sox9 locus. An IRES-Cre-pA/frt-flanked PGK-neo-bpA cassette was inserted into the 3’ UTR of exon 3 of the Sox9 locus.
Colony maintenanceHeterozygote x Wild-type [C57BL/6]
