Strain development Developed by Kiyomi Saito, School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Showa University in 2005. The transgene was injected into the pronuclei of C57BL/6 fertilized eggs.  
Strain description Adiponectin antisense transgenic mice. AS compared to the WT mice, the adiponectin level of antisense Tg mice is reduced. In the Tg mice, more severe inflammations are induced in DDS-induced colitis and collagen-induced arthritis compare to the WT mice.
