Strain description | Lin28 is an RNA-binding protein that modulate the processing of let-7 microRNA. It is one of key elements for producing iPS cells and important in keeping pluripotent state of stem cells. Its involvement in cancer development has been also reported. Mice of these lines overexpress mouse Lin28A in the intestinal epithelium, resulting in tumor formation. |
