Strain development | Developed by Yasunori Kanaho and Takehiko Sasaki, Tokyo Metropolitan Institute of Medical Science in 2004. E14K ES cells derived from 129P2/OlaHsd was used, and then mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J over 10 generations. |
Strain description | Pip5k1b (phosphatidylinositol-4-phosphate 5-kinase, type 1 beta) knockout mice. A neo fragment replaced Exon 3 of the Pip5k1b gene. Homozygous mutants exhibit enhanced passive cutaneous and systemic anaphylaxis. |
