Strain development | Deposited by Motoko Ohnishi, Chubu University. Developed by Shinri Tamura, Tohoku University, in collaboration with Jun-ichi Miyazaki, Osaka University. ES cells derived from 129SV were used and then the mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6N over 37 generations. Neo gene fragment was deleted at ES cells. |
Strain description | Ppm1b (protein phosphatase 1B, magnesium dependent, beta isoform) mutant mice. A pair of loxP flanks Exon 4. Homozygous mutants are lethal at around embryonic day 3.5. No expression of Ppm1b was detected from this allele. |
